SQUIGGLE_RACK
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Each rack can be produced in a number of ways. The Squiggle Rack© can be made from a variety of materials including, ABS plastic and numerous metals including cast iron and bronze. Finishing options vary with the material. The Prototypes for the New York City Department of Transportation (shown in photographs on the preceding pages) were built from ABS plastic and finished with a custom Automotive Paint.

HOW_IT_WORKS
Using a component based methodology we are able to build a system of parts that can produce a population of bike racks each with its own unique composition. When two components meet a “hybrid node” is used to bridge the two units. The more bike racks you build the more efficient and cost effective variation can become. This makes it economically feasible to build hundreds of bike racks each with its own unique composition.
